Over the last twenty years, across the world, I’ve come across four distinct ways of 
thinking about building community in difficult times. Naturally enough, these 
patterns of thought flow into practice, sometimes to good effect, and sometimes in 
ways that do profound harm. I characterise 
them as follows:
  1. Dead as a Dodo.
  2. The Eagle among the pigeons.
  3. The Phoenix rising.
  4. A bird in the hand.

"Teen Battlefield" program

The link below is to the (annual?) teen battlefield RUN. http://www.teenbattlefieldrun.org This is just a part of what this group does. The aim of the group is to "motivate and empower" teens. I am just learning about them. I spoke to a principal named David Edwards recently. They are working to help teens learn to deal with a wide array of life issues.
